2. Overview

Novel World AI lets you discover interactive story worlds, make choices that shape relationships and outcomes, continue stories through chat, and import your own novel text to create a playable world.

You can use the App without creating an account. Much of your story progress, chat history, preferences, and Story Energy is stored on your device. We also collect limited technical, usage, advertising, and purchase-related information needed to operate, improve, secure, and monetize the App.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information stored on your device

Depending on how you use the App, the following may be stored locally on your device:

- Onboarding and preference settings (such as appearance and language)

- Story progress, saved worlds, chat messages, custom characters, and relationship or plot variables

- Imported novel text and locally generated interactive scenes derived from that text

- Story Energy balances, daily reward status, and Premium entitlement status synced from Apple

- Blocked characters and local content reports

- A locally generated device identifier stored in the device Keychain to recognize the same install across sessions

We do not require your name, email address, or password to start using the App.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the App, we and our service providers may collect:

- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language/locale, time zone, and similar technical data

- Identifiers: a device/install identifier; and, if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)

- Usage and diagnostics: feature interactions, screen views, session signals, crash or performance data, and product events used to operate and improve the App

- Network and request metadata needed to load story catalogs and deliver services

- Approximate location derived from IP address for fraud prevention, content strategy, advertising, or compliance (we do not request precise GPS location for core storytelling features)

3.3 Purchase information

If you subscribe to Premium, purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit / In-App Purchase. We receive subscription status and related entitlement information needed to unlock Premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

If you are not a Premium subscriber, or where ads are otherwise shown, advertising partners may collect
